Abstract

Due to globalization, the role of financial development, education and E-learning is increasing in the daily life
of people, which significantly influences the environmental outcomes. But this association has attained little
attention in Chinese context from scholars and environmental economists. This study tries to fulfil this vacuum
by exploring the impact of financial development education and E-learning on Chinese environmental
performance through the ARDL approach. The findings disclose that education and E-learning improve
environmental performance in China. Based on these findings, it proposed that the Chinese government should
promote E-learning and education in remote areas of China to improve environmental performance and the
overall well-being of society.
